The importance of SolCement technology and its relevance to the overall approach of incorporating solar energy into an industrial cement manufacturing process becomes more important and the potential impact increases when one looks at other ongoing relevant research efforts. Such an example is the recently announced Project of Solar MEAD, led by the cement industry CEMEX in cooperation with the research organization Sandia National Laboratories and the pioneer company Synhelion.
